Painted entirely from life, the set up was meticulously made by the artist. The frame is also designed by the artists and specially made for this painting. - The candles are entirely handmade. The goal is for their color to match the color of the lichen. To achieve this, the artist melts different colored wax repeatedly until the right shade is achieved. The resulting candles are then carefully cut, shaped, and melted onto the branch. - The spider web is created in the form of a mock-up made with a silicone gun.
