High up in the mountains, the air takes on a remarkable quality, gently enveloping the slopes, the forest, and the cliffs. It is fascinating to observe how the light, like on a theater stage, reveals the details of the landscape. For this painting, I made sketches from life and then painted in oil on canvas in my studio, striving to achieve, through thin layers, the effect of the natural beauty that was present in the landscape at that moment.
