Crash Through the Surface is a three-dimensional mixed media work that confronts the boundary between protection and suffocation. A fragile, human form appears embedded within layers of translucent plastic and hardened material, partially sealed and partially exposed. The use of industrial packaging material—bearing printed warnings—collides with the vulnerability of the figure, transforming everyday matter into a site of tension and unease. Rather than remaining contained beneath the surface, the body seems to press outward, as if attempting to break through containment. The work captures a moment in which the body appears trapped yet pressing outward, caught between containment and the instinct to breathe.
