This painting was created during a live painting demonstration at an international art festival in Qatar. It was a special experiment for me, as I worked with watercolor on canvas for the very first time. The painting combines two things I love most: the sea and loose watercolor. Using expressive brushstrokes, flowing pigments, and the natural spontaneity of watercolor, I tried to capture the feeling of wind, movement, and freedom that I always experience while sailing. Canvas offered a completely different surface and produced beautiful, unexpected textures and effects. Stepping outside my comfort zone was both exciting and inspiring, and I am truly happy with the result of this experiment.
