The work belongs to my latest series, Oxydation, which emerges from a deep need to remain close to nature and to observe slow processes unfolding over time. I am particularly interested in corrosion, which I perceive not as destruction, but as a generative and creative force. Instead of using naturally rusting metal, I transfer the process of corrosion onto unconventional surfaces, such as recycled cardboard. I work with Fe Blend, a metal-infused medium that I apply like paint to build layered structures. On these surfaces, I activate rust in carefully composed areas, sometimes using rust collected from old nails as a direct painterly material. At times, I press rusted objects onto the surface, allowing them to leave traces. This gesture is deliberate and subversive: I invite corrosion to act where it does not belong. Rust becomes not only a material, but also a carrier of memory and a co-author of the work. I do not control or stop the process—the piece continues to evolve over time.
