I recently visited a friend who is also an artist. Her daughter was there, and I was completely fascinated by her hair and eyes. With her permission, I was allowed to paint her – and that’s how this picture came to be. People inspire me. With my portraits, I try not only to capture their appearance, but also to give the viewer a small glimpse into their inner world.
