This scene is inspired by Saihō-ji, the moss temple in Kyoto.
In Buddhism, a boat can symbolize the passage between this world and the other shore.
Here, the still water reflects a landscape that looks almost the same, yet quietly different. The real world and the reflected world face each other across the surface of the water, like two realms separated by a thin boundary.
The boat, resting between them, seems to carry not only the body, but also memory, silence, and the soul. I wanted to express the mysterious beauty of reflection — a world that resembles reality, but belongs to another dimension.
