I paint inside Structural Omission, a framework for contemporary realist and representational painting in a post-certainty era, addressing the limits of observation, perception, and knowing. Rendered passages sit next to exposed Venetian red underpainting and bare canvas so the weave and earlier color stay articulate inside the scene. Warm horizontal intervals cross vertical darks of trunks and distance. The figure in blue holds as a rendered passage against shifting brown and lavender distance.
