This work belongs to the series inspired by the Taulas, megalithic structures found primarily on the island of Menorca (Balearic Islands). The series stems from abstractions conceived by the artist that transform the subject—moving from the physical and figurative—into pure essence, rooted in the fundamental principle of balance. The Taulas become totemic symbols, archetypes of virtue, and emblems of eternal devotion to the earth and its natural cycles. They remain unshakable through the passing centuries and a changing world, conscious of the immanence of the seasons—an eternal return that marks the passage of time. 'Summer Solstice II' portrays the moment in which the stone welcomes the peak of light and heat with steadfast respect and devotion.
