This piece is a continuation of "The Character of Paint" series, centered on the Kanji character "根" (Root). While my previous work explored "Hunger" (飢), "The Underworld's Quickening" (冥界の胎動) depicts the tangled lines beneath the soil—the threads connecting the death of the underworld to the life on the surface. By focusing on the "Root" as a motif, this work maps the ancient, chaotic rhythm of the earth where life and death intertwine through the intersection of Kanji and abstraction.
