The Mystic is my interpretation of the feminine archetypes 'The Mystic'. Through learning about my identity/identities I have done as many artists have gone before me, studied & expressed my journey of the human experience. The model Hannah is a gorgeous woman who came to me for a boudoir commission. Every shot we took was excellent, she looked like a goddess in every photo. Hannah recently told me that that photoshoot day changed how she views herself. She said she has never seen someone capture her like that before. All I did was capture what I saw & how I experienced Hannah. I asked if she would pose for The Mystic since what she was wearing was exactly what I have been picturing when coming up with this idea over the last few years. Her reaction to seeing herself painted for the first time was grand, she was absolutely speechless, nearly ran out of the room, came back over to the painting & then fell on the floor. That was so far the biggest reaction I have had to an unveiling.
