Inspired by the structure of a yucca plant, this triptych uses abstraction to invite the viewer’s imagination to complete what is left open. An area close to my heart, the work explores the psychological effects of colour, focusing on the calming and restorative qualities of green. Through layered colours and natural tones, it creates a work where the mind is invited to pause, wander, and drift. Made entirely from wool and silk fibres, the piece has no traditional canvas. I “paint” with natural fibres, building the layers, surface and image at the same time, so that material, colour, and composition become three final canvases.
