This work belongs to the series inspired by the Taulas, megalithic structures primarily found on the island of Menorca (Balearic Islands). Abstraction becomes a necessity to release the symbolic power of such a physical subject. Stripped of figurative detail, only the essence remains: the balance between the vertical and the horizontal, and the tension between human creation and nature. The Taulas—viewed as totemic elements through which humanity channels its devotion toward mystery and the divine—become archetypes, embodying even the Platonic virtues. Temperance is one of these virtues: a "right measure" that sustains the soul, much like the horizontal capstone rests in perfect equilibrium upon its pillars. Within the solid immanence and primordial nature of the Taula, the archetype of Temperance elevates the stone into a symbol of self-control and inner harmony.
