"Prismatic" is an exploration of light refraction and its power to fragment the chromatic reality of the skin. The piece seeks to capture that precise moment where illumination interacts with the face, breaking down into a vibrant coexistence of temperatures; a transition of cool and warm nuances that coexist in perfect balance. My goal has been to harness the unique qualities of pastels to create a contemporary atmosphere, where the subject's gaze acts as an anchor amidst the explosion of color.
