I wanted to explore the psychological weight of isolation amidst a crowd. Encircled by a repetitive, endless herd, the stylized figure represents a raw moment of vulnerability and internal friction. In a way, this painting captures the profound ache of not fitting into society—the deep loneliness of being completely solitary despite being surrounded by a sea of companions, and that heavy, palpable feeling of the "weight of existence." By using a strict monochrome palette and building the forms through tight, rhythmic lines, I blended the character directly into their claustrophobic surroundings. Ultimately, the piece is an intimate look at conformity, survival, and the quiet struggle to breathe when the world feels far too crowded.
