Axis in Fragmentation is part of a pictorial investigation centered on the idea of the axis as an unstable structure subjected to processes of tension, drift, and rupture. Through acrylic paint, impasto, and palette knife work, the painting develops a material language in which construction and fragmentation coexist simultaneously. The composition is organized around a central nucleus that functions as a point of containment against forces of displacement and visual collision. Layers of color, dense textures, and chromatic contrasts generate a space of continuous friction in which the material preserves the trace of gesture and transformation. Within this series, the axis ceases to be understood as a stable element and instead becomes a vulnerable structure in constant reconfiguration. The work thus reflects on the fragility of contemporary balance and on the possibility of reconstruction emerging from rupture itself.
