A scene inspired by the Heliopolitan cosmogony, based on an analytical reading of hieroglyphs through the lens of modern African languages, Greek and Coptic. The Noun appears here in its chaotic state. Filaments of heavy matter are revealed, from which the demiurge emerges. Matter organises itself like aortas nourishing the heart—seven in number and accompanied by black uraei—then branches out like the veins of the Nile, before spreading into the ocean of life under the first divine vibrations. Atum is the Heliopolitan demiurge, a solitary craftsman-god, embodying water, the element of life and inseparable from vibration. He begets the divine generations through hypostasis, metamorphosing without losing anything of himself, where each deity is an emanation of himself, represented here as an eye-fish hybrid and forming the Ennead. The work plays on the famous Egyptian pun rm (fish), rmi (to weep), rmṯ (men / humanity) combined with the Oudjat, the Eye of Horus, associated with unity.
