This painting does not simply depict an animal within its landscape. The giraffe and the savannah belong together. The landscape flows through its body, while at the same time the animal brings the landscape to life. Both nourish one another. For me, this work is about more than harmony. It is about interaction — about the awareness of being part of something larger without losing oneself within it. “Im Einklang” does not mean adaptation or conformity, but a conscious balance between individuality and connectedness.
