While I was painting this work, I imagined a feeling of energy being held down inside — something that wants to be released, but is not yet free. In my mind, there was an intuitive sense of blue and green tones, combined with a long-accumulated feeling of anticipation. On the surface, touches of pale yellow and red gradually formed naturally, gathering into a kind of energy that takes shape — becoming a unique abstract composition with its own texture and identity. Using my most familiar techniques of palette knife and impasto, I built the painting layer by layer. The colors and forms emerged naturally through the process, rather than being strictly planned — allowing the work to reveal itself on its own.
