I wanted to celebrate the connection between animals that boarder on human interaction, while critiquing subtly our perception of the non human and trying to comment on the dynamics between the working animals and pets kept on a farm and their owners. The working dog looks on in the background, not quite present in the work, witnessing what from her perspective would be inequality. The main focus was to show a moment of trust and joy by having the pet sitting with the owner and to have the viewer looking down into it´s eyes.
