When my mother passed my father was alone after 65 years of marriage, I was drawn to the image of this gentleman who reminded me of my father, and I felt for the emotions that he must have felt being the one left alone. I felt he was lost in his own emotions yet wrapped in his coat to keep the cold at bay and isolated from those close to him.
