Sea that gives life, Mother that embraces. This work is a visual meditation on motherhood, the generative force of nature, and the invisible roots that connect human beings across body, time, and space. In Asian cultures, the word “mother” is not limited to a human role, but is also used to elevate nature into a sacred, life-giving presence—such as the Ganges River in India or the Mother of Rice in Thai tradition. This worldview reflects a way of understanding nature as a force that nourishes, protects, and sustains abundance. “Madre y Mar” therefore presents the sea as a living “mother”: vast, gentle, and powerful at the same time. It is both origin and space of embrace, where humanity and nature remain deeply and continuously connected.
