Pneuma takes its name from the ancient Greek word for breath, spirit, and life force. The work explores the presence of something intangible yet deeply felt — an unseen energy that shapes our perception and experience. Created using my original sculptural medium, developed through years of experimentation, the piece combines painting and relief into a unified visual language. Applied by hand, the material forms organic structures that rise from the canvas, conveying movement, tension, and vitality. The monochromatic white surface emphasizes texture, light, and shadow. A dynamic central form appears to unfold and expand, while the surrounding textured field introduces a sense of balance and calm. Together, these elements create a rhythm between energy and stillnes. Natural light is integral to the artwork. As lighting conditions shift, shadows evolve and new details emerge, allowing the piece to transform throughout the day and engage continuously with its environment.
