My family's clothing shops in Rome inspired my obsession with painting couture. One shop had a view of the Fontana di Trevi, while the other looked out at the Via del Corso. When I was little I imagined all of the history that the shops witnessed, all of the people that traveled by and all of the wishes that were wished. "Listen," is about this memory of being in both an ancient and avant-garde world simultaneously.
