'We are all mad here' is part of the painting series 'Beyond logic'. In this series, Wonderland is presented not as a place from a children’s tale or an illustration of a familiar story but becomes a point of departure for reflecting on a reality that escapes the rules of logic - a world in which absurdity becomes an everyday condition. Drawing inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s literary universe and the concept of the absurd developed by Albert Camus, the paintings inhabit a space suspended between fairy tale, theatre, and reality. Their characters oscillate between authenticity and the roles they perform, existing in a state of constant ambiguity. The absurd depicted here is neither grotesque nor ironic. Rather, it resembles a moment of disorientation in which familiar structures lose their meaning and cease to provide a sense of security. In this space, the individual is left alone to confront questions of identity, human relationships, and the absurdity of one’s reality.
