This artwork is part of a collection called "All around me". The collection takes inspiration from things, scenes, people that I see every day, and from what them brings out from me. Or what them make me think of. Memories, ideas, dreams...Not always there is a meaning in what come's up in my mind. This artwork, is based on a country scene I sow, a donkey stending in the sun in front of the door. I love the semplicity of the image, few colors but well balanced. I love the way the sun hits the donkey and the door. At the same time it want to be a provocative message, because we always say donkey to a person not so clever...but this is exactly the point, donkeys are absolutly not stupid, and even if it were, we sometimes should "do the donkeys!", break the rules, grant some sin, doing perfectly the opposite of what they tell us. It's just to say to be ourselves. By the way, it doesn't look so bad standing in the sun.....
