There is a blissful moment in the silence of the night when one just lies half-sleepy, looking into the fire, with hopeful thoughts miles away. I tried to depict this moment by showing only the spots that reflect the fire and leaving everything else in contrasting deep black shadows. The thin blue line is purposefully vague as it can represent anything from a cool pillow through a human chest to being the symbol of the hopes upholding the main figure’s existence. Whatever the viewer feels resonates with their feelings.
