Growing In Blue is an exploration of fragmented narratives, reconstructing the perception of emotions and memories through a nonlinear storytelling approach. In this project, I use block-like prints as visual metaphors for emotional fragments—pieces that can be rearranged freely to generate new narratives. Small human figures appear throughout the compositions, symbolizing my presence as a creator navigating these emotional fragments. At the same time, these figures invite viewers to project their own experiences onto the work, allowing for multiple interpretations. The color blue, often associated with melancholy, serves as the foundation of this project. Growing in Blue represents my process of growth within this color—blue as sorrow, but also as a quiet form of anger, a state of reflection, and even a sense of calm. Moving through blue, I express, confront, and transform my emotions, letting them take shape through printmaking and collage.
