'In Two' is part of a series of work in which I explore the obscuring of portraits of women and feminine people from marginalised backgrounds, to a greater or lesser extent, through the use of cubist elements. My aim is to represent the inherent conflict in a background that stands against a once again increasingly hostile world for people-of-colour, trans-folk and other marginalised backgrounds, alongside the strength and power of the individual who rises above the external pressures placed upon them. This piece is based on Indya Moore, a non-binary actor most notable for their role in 'Pose'.
