Sitting in front of a sprightly fountain, my little one is thrilled as a myriad of tiny drops fall on her neck and brow. This is a special memory of our first international trip with our daughter. It was also her favorite character, Mickey’s birthday. Truly, there was ‘Joy’ in the air. While doing this painting, I took inspiration from the works of Frans Hals. I am a huge fan of warm and cheerful quality evident in his portraits.
