This is a portrait of my sister in her wedding dress. My sister is eight years younger, I wanted to capture the feeling of surreality I have seeing her get married. The painting is also about my feeling of closeness and empathy toward her, I wanted the texture and yellow to feel like the figure dissolves around her heart, this is also the center of the composition.
