Shattered Reflection’ is now complete, though the paint is still drying. Only the final seal remains. This piece holds deep meaning for me. The soul circles, in pearlescent white, antique gold, and real gold leaf, represent different stages of life. The fractured chrome steel plates symbolize the breaking of myself and the disjointed self-image after my life crisis. Yet, like the steel, there is an indestructible core—our soul—that stays intact, no matter how broken we feel. Many of us have moments where everything seems to explode, and we lose control. This artwork reminds us that there is always a way to a new version of ourselves. Destruction leads to rebirth, and the steel plates, though fractured, reflect that inner strength.
