The painting Statera is the result of my reflections on evolution—not only in a biological sense but also in emotional and creative development, striving for a state of balance. It is part of the series presented at the Out of the Water exhibition in November 2024 in Warsaw, where I explored my experiences of life on Lanzarote. In my work, I seek a visual language to express the pursuit of equilibrium—a balance between instinct and consciousness, chaos and harmony, expression and control, life and death. I am inspired by both nature, including adaptive systems of organisms, and psychological mechanisms shaping identity. The layered composition, organic forms, and subtle light transitions symbolize continuous growth and inner transformation. I use a self-taught technique of applying paint onto a prepared board with handmade wooden sticks and spatulas, emphasizing the process of building balance—not only within the painting but also as a reflection of life itself.
