This piece depicts my grandparents holding eachothers hands as my grandfather is wearing a watch facing the viewer. This drawing represents the theme of time with others and that in the end, the only thing that people remember is not material goods but only interaction and the time spent with each other. I chose to include a watch to symbolize the time that passes fairly quickly and how at the end of the day, it is human interaction that we value in our lives. I decided on keeping the background white to create the dramatic effect of contrast at the first sight.
