The title of the work is taken from the famous graduation song "Gaudeamus", which also served as the source of inspiration for this drawing. The song is about the fast passing of life and the need to enjoy every day that we have on this earth. At the time I worked on this drawing, I was studying the theme of time from a philosophical, scientific and theological perspective and I wanted the final work to be a combination of these often different perspectives in a single work of art. Also, it was the first time I tried to insert a hidden message in a work of mine through the technique I used.
