Water" is part of the series "The Four Elements", a collection that gives an insight into the essence of nature by means of abstract expression. This piece, done with acrylic painting and a mix of different techniques, reflects the fluidity ,depth , and mistery of water. The water is ever-changing, transparent, strong, and in motion and these qualities inspires me to paint the water using a variety of methods to get this richness of color tones, shadows, movements and effects. The layered composition of this work gives a sense of depth, while some areas look like the fine pattern made by fish scales, giving a very quiet signal of life underneath. The result of this work is a lively and deep experience, like the water was moving by itself. "Water" is not only a picture but also a chance to feel the beat, strength, and calm of this important element.
