About the contest
TARTGET PAINTING PRIZE is a private initiative dedicated to the promotion of art. Our main goal is to give visibility to creators, encourage artistic production, and offer valuable content to enthusiasts, collectors, and galleries.
The fundamental driving force of this cultural project is the international painting competition. This online contest culminates in the awards ceremony gala and a collective exhibition in Madrid. Furthermore, the activity on our social media platforms will highlight every single work that joins the competition, offering a unique opportunity for artists to exhibit their creations and introduce themselves to the public.
Interaction, dynamism, and global reach are the hallmarks of this project.
The 2025 edition established the TARTGET PAINTING PRIZE as a global reference in the art contest landscape, thanks to the sheer scale of its endowments, the prestige of its international jury, and the unmatched opportunity to exhibit in the heart of the Landscape of Light, just steps away from the Prado Museum.
For 2026, the call for entries is only growing. This year’s edition will grant over 45,000 euros in cash rewards to the winners, including the Acquisition Awards. The combination of this financial endowment, along with dozens of prizes in fine arts materials, training, and artistic promotion, values the total package at over 60,000 euros.
In total, 18 cash prizes will be awarded, including a special award for the best works by artists under 25 years old. The organization will also provide a Summer Art Residency at Atelier Madrid escuela de arte, numerous awards in materials, and promotion in international art magazines.
Tartget Painting Prize emerges as a global window through which artists of every pictorial style, technique, and background can showcase their work. Emerging creators, enthusiasts, professionals, and established artists have the opportunity to present their works on a widely broadcasted platform and, consequently, establish a presence in the market. Their works will be analyzed and fairly evaluated by reputable members of the jury and considered by proven collectors for their acquisition agendas.
Regarding the major final exhibition in Madrid, first, the 22 members of the international jury will proceed with the selection of the 500 finalist artworks. From these, the top 100 most valued works will be exhibited at the extraordinary Ateneo de Madrid from September 18 to 25, 2026. From this selection of the top 100, the three absolute winning paintings, the two finalists in each category, the youth prize, and the rest of the accolades consisting of materials, promotion, and training will be chosen.
